Residents of Washington state can feel themselves a little luckier. A new bill approved by Washington’s Legislature in 2021, requires insurers to cover gender-affirming treatments starting in January 2022.
As gender-affirming treatments include not just surgeries, but also hair removal in the surgery area, and even on the face sometimes. For us, it means that electrolysis hair removal must be 100% covered by the insurance.
